ABOUT THE JOB
- Develop, integrate, and maintain Android-based embedded software components.
- Build, flash, and validate Android system images, including bootloader, kernel, system, and related platform components.
- Customize AOSP environments and support Android version upgrades when required.
- Execute Android validation test suites such as CTS, VTS, GTS, STS, CTS-on-GSI, or similar test frameworks.
- Analyze failed test cases, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Integrate security patches, CVE updates, GMS packages, Mainline packages, firmware updates, and platform components.
- Debug software issues related to UI, SIM, network, battery, connectivity, or system behavior.
- Collaborate with technical teams using tools such as Git, Repo, Jira, or similar platforms to support delivery and quality objectives.
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Electronics, Control Automation, or a related field.
- From 1 year of experience in embedded android development, or a similar embedded software development role.
- Experience with C, C++, Java, or Bash scripting.
- Knowledge of Android architecture, Android boot process, AOSP build system, and embedded Linux environments.
- Experience with Android validation test suites such as CTS, VTS, GTS, STS, CTS-on-GSI, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Git, Repo, Jira, Phabricator, or similar development and tracking tools.
- Knowledge of Yocto, device tree configuration, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, UART, SDIO, or firmware integration is a plus.
- Understanding of hardware debugging, schematic reading, or electronic component troubleshooting is a plus.
- Good communication in English.
- Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, autonomy, and ability to work with international technical teams.
