Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated BMS Test and Validation Engineer to join our team in the development of a newly designed battery package. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end validation of the Battery Management System (BMS) according to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute BMS validation activities on both vehicles and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems.

  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and collaborate closely with software and hardware teams for corrective actions.

  • Support software release processes, including verification of fixed issues and regression testing.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and validation strategies at the component, system, and vehicle levels.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the design, analysis, and optimization of electrified powertrain systems, including NMC/LFP battery technologies and Battery Management Systems (BMS).

  • Hands-on experience in developing and validating control algorithms for powertrain and energy management systems.

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics and communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).

  • Proficient in using Vector CAN tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer) and MATLAB/Simulink for modeling, simulation, and testing.

  • Skilled in data acquisition and analysis to support validation and verification activities.

  • Experience with vehicle-level and HIL testing environments.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.

  • Innovative mindset with the ability to propose and develop new ideas in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary environments and contribute to process improvements.

  • Willingness to travel and work abroad when required.
