Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our advanced data science team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, deploying, and optimizing machine learning models
within Azure and Databricks environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, data-driven solutions that directly impact business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable machine learning pipelines on Azure Databricks.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into actionable machine learning solutions.
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize models in production, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Contribute to the architecture and best practices for data science workflows within Azure cloud.
- Conduct research and experiments to explore new methodologies and improve model accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in machine learning, data science, and advanced analytics.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure Cloud Services and Databricks for large-scale data processing and model deployment.
- Strong programming skills in Python (including libraries such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch).
- Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and ability to collaborate effectively with data engineers.
- Fluent in English – both written and spoken – for collaboration with global teams.
