Brief Call: Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you! 

Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!

Case study: Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job description

Mission Description

  1. Data Pipeline Development:
    • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and AWS services (Lambda and Glue).
    • Ensure data is processed efficiently and accurately from various sources to data warehouse.
  2. Data Integration and Transformation:
    • Implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from multiple sources.
    • Develop and maintain ETL processes to transform raw data into actionable insights.
  3. Data Warehouse Management:
    • Manage and optimize our Snowflake data warehouse to ensure high performance and reliability.
    • Implement best practices for data modeling, storage, and retrieval.
  4. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
    • Communicate effectively in both Japanese and English to collaborate with local and global teams.
  5. Data Quality and Governance:
    • Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
    • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
  6. Performance Optimization:
    • Optimize data processing workflows for performance and cost-efficiency.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues to ensure minimal downtime.

  1. Technical Expertise:
    • Proficiency in Snowflake, dbt, and AWS services (Lambda and Glue).
    • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
  2. Experience:
    • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
    • Experience with data warehousing, data integration, and data transformation.
  3. Language Proficiency:
    • Fluent in both Japanese and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  4. Problem-Solving Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues effectively.
  5. Collaboration:
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Experience working in a multicultural and multilingual environment is a plus.
